lyrics
i would drive anywhere for you
if that's all that you need
to keep me company
and paradise seems to fade again
summer's almost gone
you feel so far away
i'm waiting for you
silhouettes are all i feel
stuck on the west coast again
i'm fading for you
silhouettes are all i feel
i'm falling to get close again
calm the wind
calm the ocean
you change the motion
halcyon
calm the wind
calm the ocean
what do you dream about
i light fires to elevate for you
running out of breath
to keep the nights we spent
walking out into the sea again
colours almost gone
a stranger in the haze
i'm waiting for you
silhouettes are all i feel
stuck on the west coast again
i'm changing for you
silhouettes are all i feel
i'm falling to get close again
and now you change into a storm
and then you change into a fire
and then you change into a storm
calm the wind
calm the ocean
you change the motion
halcyon
calm the wind
calm the ocean
what do you dream about
Achingly, exquisitely beautiful. The soundtrack to all those little moments in life that grow in resonance once they've passed. It seems you can catch neon-soaked "tears in rain" in a bottle after all. gearheadlydia
Being of a 'certain age', I remember being a kid in the 80s and a teen in the 90s. The Midnight's last two albums transport me back to those times effortlessly. It's no rose-tinted view back either - the final few tracks have a certain melancholy nature that reminds that there's no going back mattmattinson
'80's style neon-lit future pop with big, warm analog synths and a sugared edge from members of Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 22, 2018
And last but not least Days of Thunder, this is an amazing first album for The Midnight it truely shows that they'd continue to be. This is one amazing album and I enjoyed listening to it for the first time by the cassette I had brought from The Midnight store. I cannot wait to see what is released next and see what tracks I end up loving :) DJ Fazbear
